Flujos del mercado laboral: un análisis descriptivo

Abstract

A partir de la información sobre los flujos de entrada y salida de trabajadores de cada estado laboral (ocupado, desocupado, inactivo), entre dos momentos de tiempo, se construye la Matriz de Probabilidades de Transición entre Estados Laborales. Esta matriz muestra la probabilidad promedio (tasa de transición) con que un individuo en un estado previo cambia de estado al siguiente período. La utilidad de este enfoque es que permite un análisis dinámico de cómo los flujos de entrada y salida de cada estado laboral afecta a los agregados de empleo, desempleo e inactividad. Este enfoque resulta complementario a los análisis del mercado de trabajo basados en las estadísticas de stocks de población (en edad de trabajar, ocupada, desempleada, inactiva) y tasas (desempleo, de participación, ocupación) que usualmente se realizan.
