Aproximación a los conceptos de pobreza y distribución del ingreso

Abstract

El presente escrito pretende sintetizar los enfoques teóricos, los más utilizados, para medir la pobreza y la distribución del ingreso. Se busca revisar la literatura y hacer comentarios breves acerca de estos postulados teóricos. El trabajo, quizás por lo ambicioso, se queda corto, porquecon cada uno de los tópicos tratados brevemente, se podría perfectamente hacer un libro o un documento amplio y extenso. En la primera parte del documento se analizan los principios teóricos que se formulan acercadel tema, haciendo referencia a los utilitaristas, Rawls, Nozick y Sen. En los capítulos siguientes se hace una exploración teórica de la pobreza y la distribución del ingreso y de las principalesmetodologías para medirlos.
