Entre caballos y patrones: un estudio de las élites de 1980 en Pacho, Cundinamarca

Abstract

Resumen: Este artículo tiene como objetivo estudiar el encuentro de los poderes regionales y las élites emergentes que se gestaron a partir de las economías agropecuarias, minero-esmeralderas y del narcotráfico en las escenas equinas, que tuvieron lugar durante la década de 1980 en Pacho, Cundinamarca. Esta investigación contempló diferentes escalas de observación –territoriales e históricas– en tanto el objeto micro, que es el caballo de paso fino y la escena equina, tiene una conexión diacrónica con la historia, y a través de su estudio particular se pueden analizar fenómenos históricos y políticos de la formación de los poderes regionales y de las élites emergentes en Colombia.
