Demanda Laboral en el Sector Comercio de Colombia 2010-2014: Una Estimación Dinámica

Abstract

Resumen El sector comercio se considera de gran importancia en muchos países, principalmente, porque concentra gran parte de la fuerza laboral. La demanda laboral en el sector comercio es estudiada incipientemente en escenarios internacionales y de forma nula en Colombia, contrario al sector industria, donde la mano de obra es intensiva en uso y la demanda laboral ha sido muy estudiada teórica y empíricamente. En la presente investigación se aborda el estudio de la demanda laboral en el sector comercio de Colombia; para ello, se utilizan diferentes modelos de datos de panel. Los resultados muestran evidencias de que, en este sector, existe una dinámica en el mercado donde se pueden establecer analogías con resultados obtenidos en las investigaciones para la industria y manufactura.
