Abstract
Resumen Desde la antiguedad, el liderazgo ha sido motivo de fascinación debido al poder, la influencia y la persuasión característicos de los individuos que poseen esta habilidad. En las organizaciones, los líderes son foco de atención, al ser generadores de valor y promotores del desarrollo empresarial; por lo tanto, tienen el compromiso de formar, fomentar y potencializar a estos individuos para poder alcanzar metas organizacionales. Entendiendo la importancia del tema, el presente artículo de revisión explora el concepto de liderazgo, describe sus cambios frente a la evolución de la administración, determina su perspectiva ante a los retos de la nueva realidad organizacional y sirve como punto de partida para estructurar futuras líneas de investigación, las cuales permitan seguir profundizando en el conocimiento del liderazgo. Abstract Since ancient times, leadership has been a source of fascination because of the power, influence and persuasion which characterize individuals who possess this ability. In organizations, leaders are the focus of attention, being value generators and promoters of business development, and therefore they have the commitment to train, foster and empower others to achieve organizational goals. Understanding the importance of the topic, this review article explores the concept of leadership, describes its changes regarding the evolution of administration, determines its perspective facing the challenges of the new organizational reality and serves as a starting point for structuring future research lines which will allow delving deeper into our knowledge of leadership.
