Situación Financiera del Sector Azucarero Bajo una Mirada Al Mercado de Capitales Colombiano

Abstract

Resumen El sector azucarero colombiano está conformado por trece ingenios; es uno de los grandes dina‑ mizadores de la economía colombiana, debido a su aporte al PIB Nacional y Agrícola. Este artículo presenta y analiza a los ingenios azucareros en su conjunto, para verificar si cuentan con las con‑ diciones para apalancarse en el mercado de capitales colombiano. Por tanto, se describe cada una de las características de los aspectos financieros del grupo de companías a través de indicadores, costos y estructuras de capital, así como la regulación financiera colombiana, para su posible in‑ cursión en el mercado de capitales. Abstract The Colombian sugar industry is made up of thirteen sugar mills; it is one of the great driving forces of the Colombian economy, due to the national GDP and Agricultural contributions. This article, as a research result, analyzes and presents the sugar mills as a whole, to verify if they have the conditions to be leveraged in the Colombian capitals market. Therefore each one of the characteristics of the financial aspects of the group of companies through indicators, cost and capital structure, as well as the Colombian financial regulation are described, for the possible entry into the capitals market.
