Propuestas para la implementación de una marca de lugar en Santiago de Cali

Abstract

El Place Branding busca posicionar una región para destacarse, diferenciarse y atraer no solo turismo, sino también inversionistas y fortalecer el sentido de pertenencia. Se presenta una propuesta bajo este enfoque, para la ciudad de Santiago de Cali y, desde la percepción que tienen sus habitantes. El estudio permitió evaluar el inventario turístico de la ciudad, analizar la percepción de los habitantes acerca de diferentes aspectos (seguridad, movilidad, civismo, gestión de la administración municipal, medio ambiente), y definir las fortalezas y ventajas que posee Santiago de Cali frente a otras ciudades. Se identificó la necesidad de fortalecer aspectos relacionados con seguridad, civismo y programas turísticos; una percepción fuerte de sentido de pertenencia para la mitad de los participantes del estudio, considerándose optimistas frente al futuro de la ciudad en cuanto a desarrollo económico, de las empresas, de la tecnología, y también frente a la calidad de vida. ******** Place Branding seeks to position a region to stand out, differentiate and attract not only tourism, but also investors and strengthen the sense of belonging. A proposal under this approach, for the city of Santiago de Cali and from the perceived image that of its inhabitants are presented here. The study allowed us to evaluate the touristic inventory of the city, analyze the perception of the population about different aspects (safety, mobility, citizenship, management of municipal administration, environment) and define the strengths and advantages of Santiago de Cali to other cities. It was identified the necessity to strengthen security aspects, civics and touristic programs. A strong perception of sense of belonging to half of the participants of the study, considering themselves optimistic about the future of the city in economic development of companies, technology and quality of life.
