Abstract

El presente artículo aborda los conceptos de desarrollo, política pública, y los temas del empoderamiento y participación social. Los debates en torno a la cuestión del desarrollo son bastante amplios en los escenarios académico y político por las implicaciones que la discusión tiene en la estrategia de acción política de cada país. Gobierno e instituciones internacionales, a la par con una sociedad civil cada vez más participativa, acogen nuevas fórmulas" para afrontar los problemas y desafíos económicos y sociales del mundo contemporáneo. La argumentación se apoya en los estudios de la línea teórica en torno al término empoderamiento y participación social. Esa línea teórica es fundamental para el razonamiento de las políticas públicas."
