Estructura y dinámica de la población del departamento del Valle del Cauca y Colombia 1938-2025

Abstract

Colombia ha experimentado en los últimos 50 anos un proceso continuado de transición demográfica de altas a bajas tasas de crecimiento de su población. Sin embarbo, este documento muestra que, en el caso del Valle del Cauca este proceso ha sido mas acelerado que el experimentado a nivel nacional. Este mayor avance relativo del mismo en el caso del Valle del Cauca tiene como consecuencia la aceleración del impacto de esta transición sobre variables y sistemas sociales relacionados con la educación, la salud y la seguridad social del departamento en los anos venideros.
