Evolución del valor agregado de la industria manufacturera del Valle del Cauca y Colombia 1975-2002

Abstract

Este artículo presenta de manera descriptiva la evolución del valor agregado de las actividades industriales del Valle del Cauca y Colombia durante el periodo 1975 - 2002.El trabajo muestra que, en general, la industria del Valle del Cauca y Colombia tienen un comportameinto similar de largo plazo; sin embargo, el crecimiento del Valle del Cauca ha sido inferior al de Colombia y las diferentes actividades han sido mas variables; adicionalmente la industria del Valle del Cauca ha perdido participación en el total nacional durante los últimos anos del periodo de estudio. Las industrias del Valle del Cauca mas destacadas por su participación y dinámica en el contexto son alimentos y químicos.
