Escalafón de las economías regionales en Colombia

Abstract

El autor analiza la trayectoria seguida por las economías regionales a lo largo de la última década, revelando los cambios ocurridos en la distribución del PIB y del PIB per cápita departamental. Para este propósito se utiliza un escalafón del peso relativo de las economías subnacionales. De igual forma, a partir de los indicadores básicos mencionados, se clasifican las economías regionales en cuatro tipos: ganadoras, convergentes, estancadas y declinantes. Esta tipología es reforzada con el desempeno de indicadores económicos complementarios como las exportaciones y el empleo, así como de indicadores sociales como el Índice de Desarrollo Humano, el Índice de Calidad de Vida, el Índice de Necesidades Básicas Insatisfechas, la Línea de Pobreza y la Línea de Indigencia,buscando identificar la hipotética correspondencia entre comportamiento económico y equidad distributiva.
