Tres décadas de desindustrialización en Colombia

Abstract

RESUMEN: El presente escrito intenta analizar tres características del proceso de industrialización en Colombia. El primero, analiza los aspectos centrales de la política de desarrollo industrial que se aplicó hasta los anos setentas; el segundo, examina a partir de esta década, la posición del Estado frente al proceso de desarrollo industrial del país, y, el tercero, busca demostrar cómo en las tres últimas décadas, el sector industrial ha perdido participación en el producto nacional, situación que se analiza a partir de la importación de maquinaria y equipo como mecanismo para ampliar la capacidad instalada del sector. Se concluye que en el periodo de análisis Colombia ha experimentado un proceso de desindustrialización relativa.
