El endeudamiento externo del gobierno nacional central entre 1963 y 2001. Teoría, evidencia y algunos factores explicativos para el caso colombiano

Abstract

Resumen El presente artículo analiza la teoría, evidencia, y algunos factores explicativos del endeudamiento externo del Gobierno Nacional Central para el periodo 1963 a 2001. Los aspectos centrales estudiados en el mismo hacen referencia a, el estudio de las diferentes posiciones existentes en la teoría económica alrededor de la deuda pública, algunos referentes teóricos de la dinámica, sostenibilidad y factores explicativos del endeudamiento público, la construcción de un modelo VEC de series de tiempo para evaluar empíricamente algunos factores explicativos de la relación entre la deuda externa y el PIB y, por último, se elaboran algunas conclusiones a partir de lo observado en el texto.
