Abstract

El artículo analiza la situación de la economía colombiana en la segunda mitad delos noventa que generó una crisis económica acompanada de una agudización de lapobreza y una mayor concentración de la riqueza. Argumenta el autor, que en lascondiciones actuales es fundamental que la recuperación económica vaya a la parcon un mejoramiento de los indicadores relacionados con la pobreza y la desigualdad.Por tanto no puede darsele prioridad al crecimiento y marginar las metas socialescomo la reducción de la pobreza y la equidad, es decir, deben tener la mismatrascendencia tanto las metas económicas como las sociales._________ABSTRACTThis article offers an analysis of the Colombian Economy in the second halfof the 90´s. Which produced an economic crisis along with a sharpening ofpoverty and an iniquitous concentration of wealth.The author explains that for the time being the economic recovery must helpto decrease the poverty and inequity.Growth and social goals as well as poverty and equity are priority and thesehave the same importance.
