Otra ciudad detrás de la ladera: Estudio sobre un programa socioeconómico de la fundación Carvajal en Cali

Abstract

Este artículo presenta los avances de un programa de intervención en la zona de ladera de Cali, disenado y ejecutado a partir del desarrollo y los conocimientos comunitarios de la Fundación Carvajal. Se utilizaron conceptos de capital social y empoderamiento para mostrar nuevos procesos de desarrollo local y urbano y su contribución a una nueva idea de ciudad en Cali. El programa fue evaluado usando metodologías desarrolladas por el Instituto Interamericano para el Desarrollo Social y por Forum Solint. El documento brinda herramientas para afrontar la formación de nuevos asentamientos humanos en la ciudad, para el diseno de estrategias de desarrollo y para la formulación y aplicación de políticas públicas de ordenamiento territorial y participación ciudadana.
