Registered author(s):

    Tomando como punto de partida la Ley 142de Servicios Públicos y la Ley 143 de Energía Eléctrica, sancionadas en 1994,se presenta la libre oferta y demanda de energía eléctrica eliminando los monopolios naturales dentro de los esquemas de mercado mayorista y no regulado desde 1995.Un segmento importante de este mercado no regulado lo constituyen los clientes industriales que en 1997 poseían 1Mw de demanda instantánea, a los cuales va dirigido este proyecto de investigación, con el fin de conocer sus preferencias, conceptos sobre las variables y el desarrollo de ese mercado abierto; a la vez que establecer los usos de energía eléctrica en sus procesos productivos.El conocimiento de estos industriales participantes del mercado no regulado y algunos aspectos de las empresas oferentes de energía eléctrica, es complementado con el análisis del ambiente constituido por los aspectos económicos del sector industrial, tendencias gubernamentales y la regulación vigente en el sector eléctrico
