Dinámica de la deuda externa: algunas aplicaciones al caso colombiano

Abstract

El objetivo del presente trabajo es el de realizar una serie de ejercicios de sensibilidad, basados en un modelo de endeudamiento dinámico, a fin de cuantificar la magnitud del esfuerzo exportador que debería hacer Colombia, bajo el supuesto de quererse llegar a una situación en la que la tasa de crecimiento de la deuda externa neta, nivelada por el valor de las exportaciones, fuese igual a cero. Dicho esfuerzo exportador podría constituirse en un indicador sobre el límite económico al endeudamiento externo que enfrenta el país, dado que él muestra la capacidad de repago en el futuro inmediato. Aquí se senalará entonces cuál es ese rango de crecimiento de las exportaciones (ajustadas por una serie de factores que se detallarán más adelante) que asegura un comportamiento estable del endeudamiento externo colombiano, dados una serie de parámetros, principalmente el del nivel de las tasas de interés internacionales.
