Una nota sobre: ¿Qué tanta subfacturación hay en las cifras de importación de Colombia?

Abstract

En esta nota nos interesa establecer un cálculo de la subfacturación de importaciones en Colombia. Para tal efecto, se utiliza una metodología consistente en comparar las cifras reportadas por los demás países del mundo como exportaciones hacia Colombia con lo que aquí se reporta como importación. Como veremos, los resultados obtenidos ponen en duda la presencia de una "apertura de hecho" de la economía colombiana por concepto del flujo de "contrabando técnico", que es el que se puede detectar con la metodología aquí utilizada. En cuanto al contrabando que no entra por las Aduanas (como el de los Sanandresitos y el del correo de las brujas) aquí no se considera.
