Abstract

Esta conferencia deja muy claro que hay un gran interés por reducir la inflación en Colombia. No hay ninguna duda de que el Banco de la República pueda reducir la inflación si se propone hacerlo y toma los pasos necesarios, si contrae la política monetaria lo suficiente. La pregunta, difícil es si reducir la inflación es verdaderamente deseable. Reducir la inflación tendría beneficios, pero también tendría costos. ¿Cuáles son mayores, los costos o los beneficios de la desinflación?
