Abstract

La publicación del libro que resenamos en esta oportunidad es el resultado de un esfuerzo colectivo de un grupo reducido de investigadores y economistas que, en su mayor parte, trabajan en el sur. A pesar de la diversidad de experiencias y tradiciones intelectuales, los autores logran integrar en quince breves ensayos una obra robusta. El libro se divide en tres grandes secciones. La primera trata de las tendencias regionales. Se incluyen seis artículos que examinan los efectos del giro ideológico de la política económica y la extensión de la financiarización sobre la desindustrialización de América Latina, la inversión extranjera, la acumulación de capital en la región, el comportamiento microeconómico de las grandes corporaciones y los impactos en la desigualdad de la financiarización y del nuevo consenso macroeconómico.
