Economía política del amor

Abstract

En este artículo crítico se muestran tres hallazgos: primero, que aunque el amor esun valor moral, una expresión de empatía y de altruismo, su ejercicio y su ofertaestán limitados por la escasez (limitaciones materiales e institucionales); segundo,que el amor es una forma de poder (integrativo) que se suele combinar con otrospoderes (de intercambio y de coerción), y tercero, que en los extremos de los bienespúblicos puros y de la privatización (monopolios, bienes posicionales y clubes) elamor se marchita.
