Abstract

La preocupación constante del profesor Antonio García por superar el pensamiento desarrollista realizado desde el centro, lo llevó también a delimitar campos con esquemas ortodoxos que se comenzaron a elaborar desde la periferia, particularmente, la comprensión del carácter y contradicciones del capitalismo dependiente denuestros países, campo en el cual fue un indiscutible pionero. El análisis de nuestros problemas de atraso y subdesarrollo siempre estuvieron motivados en la entrega de elementos para la reorientación de la concepción estratégico-táctica que guiará el accionar político, es decir, fue una investigación comprometida, con nuestra realidad latinoamericana y con su pueblo.
