Evolución del impacto de la política fiscal en Colombia (1969- 1989)

Abstract

En este artículo se examina el impacto que ha tenido la política fiscal sobre la actividad económica con base en la comparación entre dos subperiodos: 1964-1974 y 1974-1989. A lo largo del primero, la tasa promedio de crecimiento del PIB fue mayor que durante el segundo.Entre ambos subperiodos se constata un cambio en la orientación de la política fiscal: mientras que en el primero los gobiernos son partidarios de la intervención, en el segundo se inclinan por la significativa reducción del grado de intervención estatal.El artículo concluye que en Colombia la política fiscal que propicia la intervención estatal ha sido relativamente exitosa.
