Evolución de la actividad agrícola durante los noventa. Una nota técnica

Abstract

En esta nota técnica se muestra cómo los agricultores toman sus decisiones de producción y cómo los precios esperados son una variable central a la hora de decidir que producir y cuanta área sembrar. Una vez determinado el precio esperado, los agricultores calculan su margen de ganancia y deciden cuánta área sembrar. En el caso colombiano, la correlación entre el área sembrada y los márgenes de ganacia permite explicar la reducción de las áreas sembradas durante la década de los noventa.
