Abstract

Este artículo analiza cómo las medidas económicas implementadas por el presidente Laureano Gómez entre 1950 y 1951 afectaron los intereses de los empresarios colombianos, incluidos los grandes industriales congregados en la Asociación Nacional de Industriales, ANDI, fundada en medellín en 1944. La política económica de gómez fue guiada por las recomendaciones del Banco Mundial y por las presiones norteamericanas que buscaban una liberalización de la economía internacional en los primeros anos de la posguerra.
