Abstract

La desigualdad de ingresos constituye un rasgo estructural en América Latina. Este artículo analizó cómo la percepción de injusticia distributiva se asocia con la satisfacción con la vida en 17 países, utilizando micro-datos del Latinobarómetro 2023 y un modelo probit ordenado multinivel. Los resultados muestran que considerar la distribución del ingreso como injusta o muy injusta se asocia con una menor satisfacción con la vida. Este vínculo puede explicarse por mecanismos de comparación social, debilitamiento de la cohesión y confianza, y tensiones económicas percibidas. El artículo aportó evidencia robusta para comprender cómo las percepciones distributivas inciden en el bienestar subjetivo y subrayó la necesidad de incorporarlas en el diseño de políticas públicas orientadas a mejorar la calidad de vida en la región.
