Distribución del ingreso y crecimiento en Colombia

Abstract

La noción que el crecimiento y los resultados distributivos están íntimamente relacionados, y deben ser explicados de manera simultanea en cualquier contexto teóricamente valido y relevante en términos de política económica. La medida de la distribución del ingreso no debe verse como una medida ex post de la equidad con que el producto se genero y se distribuyó, si no como una parte integral de cualquier teoría positiva del desarrollo. Esto es especialmente cierto en el contexto de una economía mixta de un país en desarrollo, donde se puede afirmar con algún grado de seguridad, que es muy improbable (por razones políticas y técnicas) que la redistribución fiscal afecte sustancialmente los resultados del proceso económico. Por otra parte presenta algunos hechos característicos del desempeno global del crecimiento y la distribución en Colombia.
