Abstract

In the last decade the efforts of Romanian educational system to engage in a complex process of profound restructuring meant to change the education values according to the democratization process of Romanian society, have become visible. During this process, assuring the right to education for all the children and equalizing their success chances were and still are the essential objectives, nevertheless, the limitation of actual financial support possibilities transformed these objectives into real challenges for educational decision factors and specialists. An indispensable role in facilitating effective inclusive education of students with Special educational needs is owned to the support teachers. In this article we propose to analyze general and specific legislative elements that scale the activity of support teachers in the current Romanian education and identify the best action that can facilitate effective results pursuing this profession.
