Abstract

El modelo de economía ecológica es un sistema abierto que analiza las interrelaciones entre el sistema económico y el ecológico. En ese sentido, es integral, pues considera aspectos monetarios, sociales y ambientales. En lo que respecta al estudio de la disminución en la disponibilidad de agua, este modelo presenta una alternativa, pues daría cuenta de aquellos aspectos relacionados con la gestión integral del agua, que apunta a la participación de la sociedad como una opción alterna. El objetivo de este trabajo es mostrar la relación entre la economía ecológica y la gestión integral del agua, tomando en consideración que para ambas el aspecto social es significativo.
