Abstract

La rama relativamente nueva de la logística llamada Cross-Docking, constituye una herramienta muy valiosa para las empresas encargadas del traslado, manipulación y almacenamiento de productos. La importancia que ha tomado esta rama, ha venido en aumento ya que la aparición de nuevas tecnologías viene a resolver ciertos problemas que se tenían aparcados en la implantación y realización de sistemas de producción y distribución automática. El objetivo de esta contribución es dar un panorama del estado actual de la investigación formal acerca de las aplicaciones del Cross Docking y ofrecer una visión global de la importancia que está adquiriendo esta herramienta, tanto en el mercado como en las empresas, a través de un análisis bibliométrico.
