ifo Konjunkturprognose Frühjahr 2020: Konjunktur bricht ein

Abstract

Die globale Konjunktur bricht als Folge der Coronavirus-Pandemie ein. Um die Ausbreitung der Neuinfektionen einzudämmen und einer Überlastung des Gesundheitswesens entgegenzuwirken, kommt es mittlerweile in vielen Ländern zu Einschränkungen der Bewegungsfreiheit und einem weitgehenden Stillstand des öffentlichen Lebens. Gleichzeitig versuchen die meisten Staaten, die erwarteten wirtschaftlichen Folgen mit umfangreichen wirtschaftspolitischen Maßnahmen abzumildern.
