Abstract

Die Reduzierung der regionalen Disparitäten in Bezug auf die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung ist ein zentrales Ziel der europäischen Kohäsions- und Strukturpolitik, die sich seit ihrer Einführung zu einem der wichtigsten Politikbereiche der Europäischen Union entwickelt hat. Mit den Europäischen Strukturfonds wurden in der Förderperiode 2014 - 2020 insbesondere die wirtschafts- und strukturschwachen Regionen unterstützt. Der vorliegende Artikel beschreibt die Umsetzung der EFRE-Förderung in Bezug auf die erzielten thematischen und regionalen Schwerpunktsetzungen.
