Droht die Bedeutungslosigkeit der deutschen Industrie? Eine Betrachtung für die Bundesländer

Abstract

Derzeit wird in Deutschland intensiv über das Thema Deindustrialisierung diskutiert. Im vorliegenden Artikel beleuchten wir die Entwicklung des realen Wertschöpfungsanteils des Verarbeitenden Gewerbes in den Bundesländern. Für den Großteil der Länder zeigt sich in den vergangenen zehn Jahren eine recht stabile Industriequote, so dass anhand dieses Maßes bislang nicht von einer tiefgreifenden Deindustrialisierung gesprochen werden kann. In Berlin, Hessen, Nordrhein-Westfalen und Rheinland-Pfalz muss jedoch ein Bedeutungsverlust der Industrie konstatiert werden. Ein Bedeutungsgewinn zeigt sich hingegen in Baden-Württemberg, Bremen und Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
