ifo Konjunkturprognose für Ostdeutschland und Sachsen im Winter 2023: Erholung ohne Schwung

Abstract

Im Jahr 2023 dürfte die Wirtschaftsleistung in Ostdeutschland und Sachsen auf der Stelle getreten haben, während in Deutschland sogar eine leichte Schrumpfung um -0,3% zu verzeichnen war. Im laufenden Jahr 2024 dürfte die wirtschaftliche Leistung in Ostdeutschland und Sachsen dann wieder um 0,8%, bzw. 0,7% zunehmen (Deutschland: 0,9%). Die Dynamik am Arbeitsmarkt dürfte sich jedoch abschwächen; die Zahl der Erwerbstätigen wird dann lediglich um 0,0% bzw. 0,1% steigen. Auch hierbei spielt der demografisch bedingte Rückgang des Erwerbspersonenpotenzials eine entscheidende Rolle.
