Welche Potenziale bietet Afrika für die deutsche und sächsische Exportwirtschaft?

Abstract

Vor dem Hintergrund der notwendigen Diversifizierung des deutschen Außenhandels wird in diesem Beitrag der Kontinent Afrika als potenziell wichtiger Handelspartner der Zukunft näher betrachtet. Die Bedeutung Afrikas als Exportregion für deutsche und sächsische Unternehmen fällt bisher gering aus. Dennoch bieten afrikanische Länder enorme Potenziale für den Export. Dies liegt in erster Linie am hohen prognostizierten Wirtschafts- und Bevölkerungswachstum. Ungeachtet aller vorhandenen Möglichkeiten nutzen deutsche und sächsische Unternehmen diese bisher kaum. Ein Grund dürften weiterhin instabile politisch-institutionelle Rahmenbedingungen in vielen afrikanischen Ländern und eine unzulängliche logistische Infrastruktur sein. Trotzdem lohnt es sich, Afrika gerade aufgrund der guten langfristigen Prognosen im Blick zu behalten.
