Stabile Finanzierung des Rentensystems: Was Deutschland von anderen europäischen Ländern lernen kann

Abstract

Durch die fortschreitende Alterung der deutschen Bevölkerung geraten die sozialen Sicherungssysteme zunehmend unter Druck. Die Jahrgänge der 1990er und 2000er Jahre sind im Vergleich zu den Babyboomer-Generationen der 1950er und 1960er deutlich schwächer besetzt. Der erste Abschnitt des Beitrags illustriert die Ausgangslage und zeigt die Notwendigkeit von Reformen. Im zweiten Abschnitt wird die regelgebundene Anpassung des Renteneintrittsalters diskutiert. Abschnitt drei befasst sich mit einem Überblick europäischer Länder, deren Rentensysteme im Vergleich zum deutschen anders gestaltet sind und die als mögliche Vorbilder bei der Neugestaltung dienen könnten.
