Modernisierungsschub durch Fachkräftemangel

Abstract

Der zunehmende Arbeitskräftemangel wird gemeinhin als Gefahr für den Wohlstand in Deutschland angesehen. Dementsprechend richten sich politische Gegenmaßnahmen auch eher darauf, zusätzliche Arbeitskräfte zu attrahieren als darauf, den Bedarf an Arbeitskräften zu verringern. Der vorliegende Kommentar plädiert deswegen für einen Perspektivenwechsel: Nämlich den Mangel an Arbeitskräften als eine Chance für die Modernisierung der deutschen Wirtschaft zu sehen.
