Rentenbezüge haben sich seit 1960 verdreifacht

Abstract

Seit den 1960er Jahren stiegen die kumulierten Rentenbezüge, welche Rentner*innen in Deutschland über ihre gesamte Rentenbezugsdauer erhielten, stetig an. Bis zum Jahr 2018 hatte sich dieser Betrag gegenüber dem Jahr 1960 inflationsbereinigt mehr als verdreifacht. Besonders die gestiegene Rentenbezugsdauer ist hierfür verantwortlich. Während die verbleibende Lebenserwartung bei Renteneintritt in Deutschland seit den 1960er Jahren stetig anstieg, erhöhte sich das Renteneintrittsalter in diesem Zeitraum kaum; zeitweise sank es sogar. In der Folge stieg die Rentenbezugsdauer an.
