ifo Konjunkturprognose Ostdeutschland und Sachsen Winter 2018: Ostdeutsche Wirtschaft im Fahrwasser der deutschen Konjunktur

Abstract

Die ostdeutsche Wirtschaft befindet sich im Fahrwasser der deutschen Konjunktur. Nach einem Wirtschaftswachstum von 1,9 % im Jahr 2017 kühlte sich die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung Ostdeutschlands (mit Berlin) im Jahresverlauf 2018 deutlich ab. Ursächlich hierfür waren einerseits Sondereffekte im ersten und dritten Quartal 2018 und andererseits die weniger stark steigende Auslandsnachfrage. Im kommenden Jahr dürfte die Auslandsnachfrage abermals nur verhalten zunehmen, die konjunkturelle Dynamik wird damit zunehmend vom privaten Konsum getragen. Insgesamt wird die ostdeutsche Wirtschaft in den Jahren 2018 und 2019 voraussichtlich nur noch um 1,4 % bzw. 1,3 % expandieren. Im Freistaat Sachsen dürften die Zuwachsraten mit jeweils 1,2 % sogar noch etwas schwächer ausfallen.
