Fiskalische Belastung durch staatliche Unterstützungsleistungen im Alter 2020 in Sachsen

Abstract

In der gesellschaftlichen Diskussion wird derzeit das Risiko zunehmender Altersarmut in Ostdeutschland thematisiert. Begründet wird dies unter anderem mit der hohen Arbeitslosigkeit und den dadurch unterbrochenen Erwerbsbiographien sowie den oftmals niedrigen Arbeitseinkommen, die nur geringe Anwartschaften in der gesetzlichen Rentenversicherung ermöglichen. Sollten sich diese Befürchtungen bewahrheiten, könnten den öffentlichen Haushalten in der Zukunft zusätzliche Belastungen durch Mehrausgaben vor allem für die Grundsicherung im Alter drohen. Um ein genaueres Bild der fiskalischen Belastung durch Altersarmut zu zeichnen, wurde die Anzahl der grundsicherungsbedürftigen Personen 2020 in Sachsen berechnet und die daraus resultierende fiskalische Belastung ermittelt.
