Regionale Differenzierung der Subventionen für Kindergarten-Plätze in Deutschland

Abstract

Kinderbetreuung kommt in der Diskussion um die Vereinbarkeit von Familie und Beruf eine herausragende Bedeutung zu. Für Kinder im Kindergartenalter existiert sogar ein gesetzlicher Anspruch auf einen Betreuungsplatz. Obwohl diese Plätze öffentlich angeboten werden müssen, schwanken die erhobenen Gebühren regional erheblich. Mit dem vorliegenden Beitrag soll versucht werden, diese Gebührenheterogenität mittels ausgewählter ökonomischer Determinanten zu erklären.
