Die Abwanderung und ihre Auswirkungen auf die sächsische Wirtschaft

Abstract

Die Abwanderung ist eines der beherrschenden Themen der öffentlichen Diskussion in den neuen Ländern. Für die künftige wirtschaftliche Entwicklung ist vor allem von Bedeutung, dass 57 % der "Abwanderer" im Alter von 15-35 Jahren sind und sich der Prozess der Abwanderung zuletzt stark beschleunigt hat. Daneben hat in den letzten Jahren der Fortzug der Menschen mit hohem Schul- und Berufsabschluss stark zugenommen. Die sächsischen Ballungszentren sind hiervon noch am wenigsten betroffen. Vor dem Hintergrund der sich ab 2005 halbierenden Bewerberzahlen für Ausbildungsplätze müssen Wege gesucht werden, wie die Zukunftsfähigkeit der sächsischen Unternehmen erhalten bleibt.
