Einkommen in Ostdeutschland holen seit 1996 kaum noch auf

Abstract

Für die Bürger in Ostdeutschland bemisst sich der Erfolg der Wiedervereinigung in hohem Maße am Fortschritt in der Angleichung der Einkommensverhältnisse. Vor kurzem hat der Arbeitskreis Volkswirtschaftliche Gesamtrechnungen der Länder zum ersten Mal detaillierte Angaben zur Einkommensentwicklung nach Bundesländern vorgelegt. Einige Hauptergebnisse werden in diesem Beitrag vorgestellt. Zusätzlich wird auf die Entwicklung der verfügbaren Realeinkommen in Ostdeutschland im zeitlichen wie auch im regionalen Vergleich eingegangen.
