Wirtschaft in Ostsachsen erwartet zusaetzliches Wachstumspotenzial durch EU-Erweiterung

Abstract

Das ifo Institut hat 2000/2001 zusammen mit einem polnischen Partnerinstitut eine Befragung bei saechsischen und polnischen Unternehmen der Grenzregion zu Umfang, Hemmnissen und Bestimmungsgruenden grenzueberschreitender Unternehmensaktivitaeten durchgefuehrt. Zentraler Befund ist, dass die grenzueberschreitende Arbeitsteilung und Organisation der Produktion fuer die deutschen Grenzregionen zu Polen und Tschechien langfristig ein zusaetzliches Wachstumspotenzial bietet. Die Naehe zu Polen und Tschechien ist ein Vorteil, um an den wachsenden MOEL-Maerkten zu partizipieren, Spezialisierungsgewinne zu realisieren und die Wettbewerbsfaehigkeit gegenueber anderen Regionen durch intraregionale Arbeitsteilung und Kooperation zu erhoehen.
