Wie stark ist die "New Economy" in Ostdeutschland ?

Abstract

Die zukuenftige Wirtschaftkraft der Regionen haengt massgeblich vom Erfolg beim Auf- und Ausbau der wissensgestuetzten Industrie bzw. der "New Economy" ab. Deutschland nimmt beim wichtigsten Teil der "New Economy", naemlich der Produktion und Nutzung der informations- und kommunikationstechnischen Produkte und Dienste, im internationalen Vergleich nur einen Platz im hinteren Mittelfeld ein. Ostdeutschland hinkt beim Aufbau der IuK-Industrien nach. Seine Infrastruktur (z.B. Bildungseinrichtungen) und Rahmenbedingungen (z.B. Bereitschaft zur Selbsstaendigkeit) fuer den Ausbau der "New Economy" weisen Licht und Schatten auf. Eine Verbesserung ist zwar angelegt,es bleibt aber viel zu tun.
