Abstract

Das ifo Institut hat im Auftrag des Thüringer Ministeriums für Wirtschaft, Forschung und Kultur die internen und externen Rahmenbedingungen für Innovationen des Handwerks in Thüringen untersucht. Besonders innovationsaktive Handwerksbetriebe sind aufgrund ihrer starken regionalen und lokalen Verankerung bedeutend für langfristig prosperierende Regionalentwicklung. Die Innovationstä-tigkeit des Thüringer Handwerks bleibt aber bisher hinter den Erwartungen, auch weil eine Reihe innovationshemmender Faktoren erst beseitigt werden müssen.
