Der sächsische Arbeitsmarkt im April 1999

Abstract

Auf dem Arbeitsmarkt in Deutschland trat im April 1999 die jahreszeitlich übliche Belebung ein. In den neuen Ländern beliefen sich die Rückgänge auf 45.900 binnen Monatsfrist bzw. 122.800 binnen Jahresfrist auf einen aktuellen Bestand von 1,346 Mill. Arbeitslosen. Damit lag die Arbeitslosenquote bei 19,1%. Die Lage auf dem Arbeitsmarkt im Freistaat Sachsen ähnelte im Berichtsmonat der Situation in den neuen Ländern insgesamt. Die Zahl der Erwerbslosen verringerte sich im April um 17.000 auf 380.600. Im Vergleichsmonat des Vorjahres gab es noch 23.500 arbeitslose Frauen und Männer mehr.
