Konjunkturprognose 1999 : Aufschwung gerät ins Stocken

Die Entwicklung der Weltwirtschaft blieb im Jahr 1998 gespalten. Während die Konjunktur in Nordamerika, in Westeuropa und in Ostmitteleuropa nach wie vor aufwärts gerichtet war, hat sich die Situation in Asien weiter verschlechtert.Die Konjunktur in Deutschland hat 1998 an Schwung verloren, da die Auslandsnachfrage im Gefolge der Krisen in Asien, Rußland und Lateinamerika gesunken sind. Die Geldmarktzinsen liegen in Deutschland und in der gesamten EWU auf sehr niedrigem Niveau. Die finanzpolitischen Maßnahmen der neuen Regierung dürften die deutsche Konjunktur nicht sehr stark beeinflussen, weil sich die Wirkungen größten Teils kompensieren.
