Verarbeitendes Gewerbe in den neuen Bundesländern : 1998 doch nur moderater Rückgang der Investitionen

Abstract

In der jetzt abgeschlossenen Umfrage "Investitionstest Ende 1997" hat das ifo Institut Industrieunternehmen aus den neuen Bundesländern und Ostberlin zu ihren 1997 getätigten und ihren 1998 vorgesehenen Investitionen befragt. Die Umfrage zeigt, daß nun wohl auch in diesem Jahr nur mit einer moderaten, einstelligen Minusrate gerechnet werden muß. Die Hochschätzung der gemeldeten Unternehmenspläne bzw. -erwartungen ergibt für 1998 eine Investitionssumme von 15,3 Mrd. DM. Pro Beschäftigten wird mit etwa 25.000 DM in der ostdeutschen Industrie in diesem Jahr immerhin noch um zwei Drittel mehr für Investitionen ausgegeben als in den alten Ländern.
