Abstract

Der vorliegende Bericht informiert über die Ergebnisse der ifo Konjunkturumfrage im verarbeitenden Gewerbe in Sachsen vom September 1997. Demnach konnte das Geschäftsklima sich nicht weiter verbessern, sondern stagnierte auf dem Niveau des Vormonats. Die positiven Urteile zur aktuellen Lage verloren etwas an Gewicht, der Geschäftsverlauf galt aber noch als zufriedenstellend. Trotz wachsender Hoffnungen auf ein gutes Exportgeschäft nahm das Vertrauen in die kommende Geschäftsentwicklung geringfügig ab. Die Wettbewerbssituation hat sich auf dem Inlandsmarkt leicht verbessert, auf den Auslandsmärkten blieb sie unverändert. Die Auftragsreserven lagen bei 3,2 Monaten im Vergleich zu 3,1 Monaten zur Jahresmitte. Die Kapazitätsauslastung blieb mit 81% auf dem Stand der letzten drei Quartale. Nach Meldungen der Testteilnehmer ist es kaum zu Preisnachlässen gekommen, für die kommenden Monate erwartet man keine Änderung der Preisspielräume. Bei der Personalentwicklung gingen fast 90% der Unternehmen von einer stabilen Beschäftigungssituation aus, so daß der Personalabbau langsam zum Stillstand kommen müßte.
